Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on May 25, 2021 and concluded on June 1, 2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were ten children present and two caregivers. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed two children?s records, one caregiver record and one household member record submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care Programs.
Based on review and interview, provider did not ensure caregiver has an updated TB test/screening every 2 years.
Evidence: The record for provider had documentation of a TB test dated 4/25/2016. Provider stated she has had a more recent test but she could not locate the documentation.
Plan of Correction:
Provider will make an appointment to have the test done.
