Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 7/6/22 from 9:30 - 11:00am. At the time of the inspection there were 4 children in care, ages one year old to four years old (11 points), with two caregivers present. Records were reviewed for five children and four caregivers/household members. Children were observed participating in various activities. There was no medication at the family day home currently. Emergency plan and emergency supplies were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program, and were discussed with the provider during the exit interview.
Based on a review of four caregiver/household member records, it was determined that the provider did not ensure that all employees before five years since the dates of the last most recent search of the central registry check complete an updated search of the central registry check.
Evidence: 1. The record for caregiver/household member #2 contained a search of the central registry check that was dated 1/18/17. 2. Caregiver/household member #1 reviewed the record for caregiver/household member #2 and confirmed that an updated search of the central registry check had not been received, but it was mailed and returned for an error.
Plan of Correction:
The provider responded: The search of the central registry for caregiver/household member #2 has already been resent. I will forward the results to the licensing Inspector once received.
