Comments:
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 06/01/2023 and concluded on 06/01/2023 from 3:35 PM to 4:30 PM. There were five children present, ranging in ages from 3 years to 5 years, with one staff supervising the class and a second staff member available if needed. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies. A total of three children?s records and the two staff?s records were reviewed for updates. Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Based on record review and interview, the center failed to ensure all staff updated TB screening or test at least every two years.
Evidence:
1. The TB screening for staff 1 was dated 2/26/21. 2. Staff 1 stated the results of the TB screening was housed in the nurses offices and was unsure if it had been updated. Documentation of an updated TB screening was not provided.
Plan of Correction:
The last day of school was on the 8th. The TB screening will be updated before school starts in the fall. In the future the director will ensure all staff TB screenings are updated every two years as required.
