Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:30am-11:00am. There were 3 children in care and one resident child present, directly supervised by the provider and one assistant caregiver. The home, 2 caregiver records, 3 children?s records, , evacuation drills, and policies were inspected. The children were observed coloring and practicing writing their names. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Based on record review, the provider did not obtain the results of a fingerprint-based criminal history record check before the first day of employment for 1 caregiver.
Evidence: Caregiver #1 began employment on 7/10/2023. The fingerprint check results in the record for Caregiver #1 were dated 7/27/2023.
Plan of Correction:
Fingerprint check results will be obtained before the caregiver's first day.
