Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on August 22, 2023. There were five children in care with the provider. The children present in age from 16months through seven years old. Children present totaled 11 points. Children and household records were reviewed. A walking tour of the facility inside and outside was completed. Emergency equipment and evacuation drills were reviewed including the first aid kit, battery operated radio and flashlight. Required postings were reviewed. A single violation regarding background was observed and discussed with the provider at the conclusion of the inspection during the exit interview.
Based on record review and interview the provider failed to ensure that required background checks are obtained every five years. Evidence: 1 - The fingerprint background check for the provider is dated June 22, 2018 and therefore past due for update. 2 - The provider confirmed that the date on the most current fingerprint background is June 22, 2018.
