Technical Assistance:
Discussed talking to parents about a seizure plan for a child who's physician has indicated the occurrence of seizures.
Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 10:30am-12:10pm. There were 9 children (13 points) directly supervised by 2 staff. The child care area, 2 staff records, 5 children?s records, 2 household member?s records, 2 pet records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely, working on a coloring and tracing worksheet, and listening to a book read aloud. Staff were observed actively engaging with children and encouraging getting along and cleaning routines. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Based on record review, the provider's emergency plan was not reviewed at least annually. Evidence: The most recent documented review of the emergency response plan was conducted on July 2, 2018.
