Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on August 27, 2020 and concluded on August 27, 2020. The person in charge was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 36 children present and 10 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed three children?s records and three staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Based on record review, one staff record does not contain documentation of a completed Central Registry check (CPS), past 30 days of employment. Evidence: Staff #2's record (Date of Hire 05/03/2018) does not include documentation of a completed CPS search.
Plan of Correction:
Director will complete a Central Registry Search, notarize and mail the form by tomorrow.
