Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was completed on May 22, 2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 23 children present with eight staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed two children's records, and two staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or laws and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care Programs.
Based on review of children records, the center failed to obtain documentation of immunizations before or by the first day of attendance.
Evidence: 1. Child #2's immunizations were dated 06/04/2019. Date of enrollment for Child #2 was 06/03/2010. 2. Staff verified the first date of attendance for Child #2, and the date on the immunizations.
Plan of Correction:
Administration will place a tracking system into place to ensure that immunizations are received before a child's first date of attendance.
