An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on 10/04/2022 from 3:46 pm - 6:00 pm. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on record review, the vendor failed to ensure that staff shall obtain current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care.
Evidence: 1. Staff 1 lacks current certification in CPR. a. The most recent CPR certification expired 02/2021. 2. Administrative staff stated documentation of current CPR certification could not be located.
Plan of Correction:
Administrative staff stated they thought staff 1 had updated her CPR and first aid certification however, documentation could not be located. A new class will be scheduled for staff 1 if determined an update is needed.
