A Subsidy Health and Safety monitoring inspection was conducted on 11/7/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This inspection began at 10:00am and ended at 2:50pm. There were 9 staff with 50 children in 2 classrooms at the time of the visit. At the start of the inspection, children were observed playing outside, blowing bubbles, playing with large building blocks, feeding leaves to the goats, eating peas from the garden, helping set out nap cots with the staff and other organized activities. Today's lunch is a chicken leg with gravy, zucchini and yellow squash, whole wheat bread and fresh fruit.. Children's files, emergency preparedness procedures, fire drill log were reviewed. The physical plant and playground were inspected. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Thank you for your cooperation today. Based on record review, staff did not have current certifications in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Evidence: Staff #6 file contains documentation of first aid and CPR certifications that expired 7/2019. Staff #7 file contains documentation of first and and CPR certifications that expired 8/24/2019.
Plan of Correction:
They are both scheduled for another training this weekend.
