Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 10/15/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced monitoring inspection and a self reported investigation related to sight and sound supervision were conducted today from 10:20am-1:30pm. There were 51 children (infants - 4 yrs.) directly supervised by 11 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, being bottle fed, napping, learning about nature, playing outside, and eating lunch. Today's lunch consisted of chicken crumble, whole grain spaghetti, fresh zucchini, pears and milk. Diapering and hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an adequate supply of materials for the children. A follow-up visit was conducted on 11/13/2019 to complete the self-reported investigation. Based on the preponderance of evidence gathered, there were no violations cited related to the self-reported incident; however, areas of non-compliance not related to the self-reported incident are identified on the Violation Notice.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
