Comments:
A Code compliance inspection was initiated on 12/12/2022 and concluded on 12/12/2022. There were 17 children present with four staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance with the Code of Virginia. A total of five child records and seven staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 9:50 am and concluded at 10:55 am.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on record review the provider failed to ensure that All applicants for employment, employees, applicants to serve as volunteers, and volunteers shall undergo a background check in accordance with subsection B prior to employment or beginning to serve as a volunteer and every five years thereafter. Evidence: 1. Staff # 3, 4, 6 and 7 have central registry reports that expired 9/22.
Plan of Correction:
The director will have everyone get their background checks repeated. The director will ensure that all background checks and sworn disclosure statements are repeated every five years.
