Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection was initiated on 12/07/2020 and concluded on 12/07/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 3 children present and 2 staff. The inspector emailed the director/provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records, 1 staff record, and two Board members submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. Based on review of two new applicant files, the facility failed to have documentation of a search of the central registry on file for each applicant/agent file. Evidence: Board member 1 and Board member 2 did not have documentation of a search of the central registry (CPS check) within 30 days of board appointment.
Plan of Correction:
Center director will submit the search of the central registry (CPS checks) as soon as possible.
