8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes
Comments:
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on 9/5/2023. There were 5 children present with 2 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program
Based on a review of caregiver trainings and provider interview, caregivers have not completed the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff sponsored by the Department of Education. Evidence: caregiver #1 and #2 have not completed the 10 hour Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff sponsored by the Department of Education. The Provider is a subsidy vendor.
Plan of Correction:
The caregivers will complete the 10 hour required subsidy training and file the certificate in the caregiver's record.
