Comments:
An unannounced inspection was conducted on January 8, 2024 from 10:45 a.m. through 12:30 p.m. There were sixty-six children, ages 5 months through 4, in the care of twelve staff. Ten children and ten staff records were reviewed. The medication and medication paperwork was reviewed for four children.

Base on record review the center failed to obtain an out of state central registry check for one staff member within 30 days of employment.
1. Ten staff records were reviewed. 2. Staff #5 did not have documentation of an out of state central registry check. 3. The director confirmed there was no documentation of an out of state central registry check.
Plan of Correction:
The out of state central registry check was submitted for staff #5. Proper documentation will be acquired and going forward we will closely monitor any VDOE updates for out of state central registry checks.
