Technical Assistance:
The center is not currently in compliance with 8VAC20-820-120-E-2 as the findings of the most recent inspection of the facility were not posted in a visible location on the premises of the facility.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted 2/1/2024 from 11:10am through 11:50am. There were 29 children (ages three years through 5 years) directly supervised by 5 staff and all classrooms were in ratio. The physical plant, outdoor playground area, programming, menus, 5 children?s records, emergency drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were reportedly no medications on site. Children were observed eating lunch, playing with play dough, handwashing, and completing group activities. There was an adequate supply of age appropriate materials for the children and the center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on record review and staff interview, the center did not ensure that staff records were maintained and accessible for review at the time of inspection.
Evidence: Five staff were present at the time of inspection and their records were in a locked cabinet and not accessible at the time of inspection.
