Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 6:55am-7:30am. There were 3 children directly supervised by 2 staff. The physical plant, programming, menus, 4 children?s records, emergency drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed eating breakfast and participating in quiet tabletop activities. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.
Please complete the columns for "Plan of Correction" and "Date to be Corrected" for each violation cited on the Violation Notice, and then return a signed and dated copy to the licensing office by 5pm on 5/17/2022. Please email me at morgan.bryson@doe.virginia.gov with any questions.
Based on record review and staff interview, staff records were not available for review at the time of inspection.
Evidence: Staff #1 and Staff #2 were both present at the time of inspection and their records were kept in a locked cabinet and were not accessible at the time of inspection.

Principal will white out salary information on staff files so they can be stored in an accessible cabinet.

Based on record review, the center did not have documentation of an annual fire inspection.
Evidence: The most recent fire inspection on file was dated 8/13/2020.

Description:
Based on review of the emergency drill log, the center has not completed all monthly evacuation drills.
Evidence: An emergency evacuation drill was not completed in December 2021.
Plan of Correction:
Drill log sheet had been moved to a new binder. The updated log has been put in place. See attached.
