The inspector discussed the standard of labeling bottles of cleaning fluid.
Comments:
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 9/30/2022 and concluded on 9/30/2022. There were a total of 22 children with 5 staff members present. Children were observed during story time, engaged in group activities and outdoor play time. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 4 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation, equipment at the center was not maintained in a clean, safe, and operable condition. Protruding nails were found that could snag skin.
Evidence: Bench on playground had one protruding nail.
Plan of Correction:
Center will have maintenance staff remove the protruding nail from the bench.

Description:
Based on observation, play equipment used by children had s-hooks with openings more than the thickness of a penny.
Evidence: The s-hooks holding the swing seats had openings more than the thickness of a penny.
Plan of Correction:
The center will request that maintenance close the s-hooks so they are open less than the thickness of a penny.
