Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 1:15 pm - 3:00 pm. There were 12 children in care being supervised by two staff. The children were observed playing outdoors and eating snack. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on observation of the playground it was determined that the program did not ensure that the required amount (6 inches) of resilient surfacing was maintained beneath and around playground structures. Evidence: The Licensing Inspector observed bare ground with a sporadic amount of mulch underneath the climbing structure on the preschool playground.
