Comments:
This inspection was conducted by staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An on-site inspection of the home was not conducted at this time however, a portion of the inspection included a virtual component which allowed the inspector to observe the daycare areas of the home.
A announced monitoring inspection was conducted at 1:10pm. The provider was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection, and provided a list of items required to complete the inspection. There were 8 children = 21 points with the provider + assistant #2. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were napping during the inspection. The daycare was well supplied with toys and equipment for the children, and appeared clean and organized today. A separate play area for the infant/toddler age children was created. Information gathered during the inspection determined there was an area of non-compliance with applicable standards or laws reviewed. Questions about this inspection may be directed to pamela.sneed@dss.virginia.gov
Based on records reviewed, it was determined that 1 of 2 children's records did not include documentation of immunizations every 6 months until the age of 2 years old. Evidence: Child #2 - The immunizations were dated August 2017, when the child was 6 months old.
Plan of Correction:
The provider will request a copy of most current immunization record.
