Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 8/8/19 from 10:00am - 12:00pm. At the time of entrance there were 133 school age children in care with 11 staff. Children were observed participating in various activities in the classrooms. Records were reviewed for ten children while at the facility. The records for ten staff were reviewed at the central office on 8/9/19. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Based on interviews and observation, it was determined that the vendor did not ensure to post, with parental approval, or keep in a way that is immediately accessible to staff, a current list of all children?s allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions.
Evidence:
1. There was not a complete list of all children?s allergies, sensitivities and dietary restrictions for the children enrolled at the facility.
2. Staff #1 confirmed there was not a complete posted list of all children?s allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions for the children enrolled at the facility.
Plan of Correction:
The vendor responded: A new list with all of the children?s allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions in the facility that can be accessed by staff will be completed. This list will be updated weekly as enrollment changes.
