Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 6/23/20 and concluded on 6/25/20. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 34 children present and nine staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed three children?s records and three staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Based on review of three staff records, the center did not obtain the results of a central registry search for an employee within 30 days of employment. Evidence: The record for Staff A, with a start date of 1/22/15 did not contain the results of a central registry search.
Plan of Correction:
I am sure it was completed when she was hired, and another done since then, but I could not find them. I contacted the background check office to see if they could send me a copy of her results and also had her complete a new form.
