Discussed that outstanding background searches must be conducted within 10 days of the inspection.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted August 29 2023 between 12:00pm and 1:30pm. There were 13 children in the direct care of 2 staff members. Children were observed working on letters, completing artwork, having pretend play, and washing hands. A review of staffing records, children's records, the physical plant, and evacuation drills was conducted. Citations are listed on the violation notice. Based on record review, the center failed to ensure that repeat background searches were conducted on employees every years after the first background check was conducted.
