Comments:
An unannounced code compliance inspection was conducted on 5/22/2024 between the hours of 12:15pm and 1:30pm. There were 3 classrooms observed with a total of 35 children present with 6 staff supervising. Ratios were in compliance. The children were observed playing on the playground having lunch, and other organized activities. A complete inspection of the physical plant, child and staff records, fire drill log, medication, and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on review of staff files, the center did not obtain updated Central Registry checks and Criminal History record checks every five years for staff members.
Evidence: The center did not obtain updated Central Registry checks for Staff #1, #2, #5 and #6. The center did not obtain updated Criminal History checks for Staff #9.
Plan of Correction:
Center will obtain updated background checks for the staff.
