A discussion was held on the status of zoning approval and relocating the children upstairs to downstairs as soon as possible.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 5:00pm-5:45pm. The focus of the visit was the occupancy of the upstairs apartments. There were a total of 30 children and 7 direct care givers present in the downstairs and upstairs facility. Apartment 200 is now vacant, and 6 children were located in the apartment 201. Based on observation, the center is not in compliance with the terms of the current license issued by the department. Evidence: The center is operating in an apartment upstairs without having approval from zoning. There were 6 children present upon arrival.
Plan of Correction:
We vacated one apartment upstairs (200) and moved them to the Pre K room until our application is approved. Application was submitted to Loudoun County 9/6/19. Estimated time for approval from zoning is 3 months. Effective 9/23/19 the second apartment, (201) will be vacated and all 10 enrolled school age children will be in the downstairs childcare area.
