Today we discussed steps to document attempts at obtaining out of state Central Registry (or equivalent) searches. If the state does not provide search results to programs operating in another state, please have them document this in writing and keep it in the staff person's file.

An unannounced monitoring inspection to review the requirements for religiously exempt programs was conducted on 2/3/2020 from 2:40 p.m. to 4:40 p.m.
At the time of entrance, the following adult to child ratios were observed:
8 children, ages 2 1/2 to 3 years old with 1 staff
10 children children, ages 3 years old, with 1 staff (nap period)
12 children, age 3-5 years, with 1 staff
9 children, age 3 years old, with 1 staff
7 children, 2 1/2+ years old, with 1 staff
14 children, ages 5 to 7 years old, with 1 staff
The records sample size consisted of 15 staff records.
Children were observed eating afternoon snack, watching a children's program, reciting devotions in the sanctuary, transitioning groups of children from classrooms to restrooms and back and being dismissed / picked up by parents and guardians. Hand washing, food service, table sanitizing and restroom procedures were observed and / or reviewed today. The provider states that children are not transported in a vehicle while in care.
