Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on September 18, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The subsidy requirements were reviewed this date; allergy action plans, staff trainings, nutrition and food services, recordkeeping, hazardous substances, reporting injuries, emergency plans and transportation. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Based on review, the center did not obtain a written allergy care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy to include instructions from a physician regarding the food allergy to which the child is allergic and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction. Evidence: 1. Six children (Child #1 thru Child #6) were listed to have a food allergy at the center and the center did not have a food allergy care plan in the records.
Plan of Correction:
I will request a allergy care plan from the parents.
