Technical Assistance:
Discussed the use of feeding tables. Discussed increase to the enrollment of infants, need to contact building official.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. The center had 15 children present in three groupings with 5 staff. The center has lots of supplies for the children to explore and a large playground. Interaction between staff and children observed in all the rooms. Observed playtime, lunch and getting ready for nap. A violation notice was given to the center along with this summary. Based on the review of the physical plant, the center failed to keep cleaners in a locked place. Evidence: During the inspection the inspector found cleaning wipes under a bathroom sink, latch on cabinet would not engage to keep cabinet locked. Cleaners accessible under the kitchen sink in the kitchen area, used as an area for children to eat lunch.
