Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 06/08/2020 and concluded on 06/11/2020. The owner was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 47 children present and 11 staff. The inspector emailed the owner a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 5 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Based on a record review, the center did not ensure an annual fire inspection had been conducted at the facility. Evidence: The last documented fire inspection, provided by the owner, was dated 02/06/2019

The following corrective action was provided by the owner during the exit interview: The fire marshall's office will be contacted today to schedule an inspection.
