Based on review of staff records and interview, the center did not ensure staff who work directly with children, obtained certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care. The training shall include an in-person competency demonstration; and shall have been completed within 90 days of the date of employment or 90 days from subsidy vendor approval. Evidence: 1. The record for staff #3, hired 08/04/2022, did not contain documentation of completion of CPR, exceeding 90 days from hire. 2. The record for staff #4, hired 06/2912022, did not contain documentation of completion of CPR, exceeding 90 days from hire. 3. The administrator stated staff #3 and staff #4 had not completed certification in CPR.
Plan of Correction:
First Aid and CPR already scheduled by the end of the month.
