Comments:
A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on January 26, 2023. There were 12 children present with 2 staff, and 3 volunteers supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 3 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on review of documentation and interview, the center did not ensure to practice shelter in place procedures a minimum of twice per year.
Evidence: A review of drills log revealed that one shelter in place was practiced for year 2022. Interview with staff confirmed there was only one practice for year 2022.
Plan of Correction:
The program will ensure to practice two shelter in place per year.
