Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on July 6, 2023 from approximately 10:45 am to 12:30 pm. There were 41 children in attendance and a total of 7 staff present. 4 staff records and 4 children?s records were viewed. All areas of the center were observed including classrooms, bathrooms, and the playgrounds. The children were observed watching a program, playing with puzzles, eating lunch, and taking a nap while the licensing inspector was on-site.
Violations were cited as a result of this inspection.
Please complete the plan of correction and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today, 07/19/2023. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again, and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventative measure(s).
Based on observation, and interview, the center failed to maintain in a way that is accessible to all staff who work with children, a current, dated, written list of all children?s allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions documented in the allergy plan. The list must be kept in each room or area where children are present. Evidence: 1) When interviewed, staff in classroom #3, did not know if there was an allergy list or where it was. 2) The allergy list posted in classroom #2, did not have a date on it. 3) Staff in classroom #5 had an allergy list but stated that it was not current because there were children listed on the list that no longer attend the center. 4) The Director acknowledged that the allergy list was not current.
