Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 12:45pm to 3:45pm. There were 44 children in care, ranging from eight weeks to four years of age, supervised by seven staff. The older children were observed preparing for nap and napping. The infants were observed being fed bottles, being changed, and playing on the floor. Six children?s records and five staff records were reviewed and were in compliance. The Center has staff with current certification in CPR, First Aid and Daily Health Observation. There was no medication on site during the inspection but the center has eight staff current in Medication Administration Training (MAT). The attendance and emergency drill log were reviewed. The last evacuation drill was documented on 11/18/19 and the last shelter-in-place drill was documented on 6/21/19. The most recent Fire Inspection documentation was dated 6/24/19 and the most recent Health Inspection documentation was dated 5/31/19. Based on observation, not all areas and equipment of the center were maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: In the two-year-old classroom the soap dispenser on the wall is cracked down the side, posing a scratching hazard to the children.
Plan of Correction:
The broken one was removed during the inspection, and we have a new one to replace it with.
