Comments:
An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 6/10/2024. The on-site inspection began at 10:10 am and ended at 11:25 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 38 children present and 7 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 6/18/2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.
Documentation of a negative tuberculosis (TB) screening must be submitted at the time of employment, before coming into contact with children, and shall have been completed within the last 30 days of the date of employment. Staff #4 and Staff #5 had no TB documentation on file, both had been employed for more than a month and were working with children at the time of the inspection.
Plan of Correction:
Both employees had their TB screening done that afternoon.

Description:
In areas used by children of preschool age or younger electrical outlets shall have protective covers. The Infant/Toddler room had 2 outlets, located within the children's reach, without protective covers.
Plan of Correction:
Outlets were safety and I made sure they were turned correctly.
Standard #:
8VAC20-780-530-A
Description:
At least one staff in each classroom or area where children are present shall have current certification in CPR as appropriate to the age of the children in care and current certification in First Aid. Staff #5 was alone with her 3 year old classroom and did not have current CPR or First Aid certification.
Plan of Correction:
The 2 employees will have their CPR class done immediately. Both took CPR class on 6/12/2024.
