Comments:
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 6/24/22 from 9:45am until 10:30am. At the time of entrance, there were 3 children in care, for a total of 7 points, with the provider. A sample of 3 children's records and 2 provider/household member records were reviewed. Children were observed engaging in free play. First aid and emergency supplies, the emergency preparedness plan, documentation of emergency practice drills and family day home postings were reviewed. The provider stated she does not administer medication to children in care. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law. Violations are listed on the violation notice and were discussed with the provider during the exit interview.
Based on observation and interview, the provider did not ensure that when meals or snacks are provided by the family day home, the menu for the current one-week period shall be given to parents or posted in an area accessible to parents.
Evidence: 1. There is no menu for this week available for review in the family day home. 2. The provider confirmed that the menu for this week was not given to parents or posted in the family day home.
Plan of Correction:
The provider responded with the following: Going forward, the provider will ensure that the current one-week menu is posted in the family day home or provided to parents.
