Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on February 22, 2021 and concluded on February 23, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 11 children present and 2 staff. The Inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Inspection amended on April 12, 2021.
Information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
Based on a review of records and interview on April 12, 2021, the center did not ensure to obtain a copy of the results of a criminal history record information check and sex offender registry check from any state in which the agent has resided in the preceding five years by the deadline of December 31, 2020 for agents appointed prior to July 1, 2020. Evidence: 1. The record of Agent #1 (date of appointment 3/31/18) contained documentation of an out of state sex offender registry check dated 3/5/21. 2. The record of Agent #2 (date of appointment 3/2/20) contained documentation of an out of state sex offender registry check dated 3/5/21 and did not contain documentation of out of state criminal history check results. 3. Administration acknowledged the checks weren't completed until March 5, 2021.
