An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted today from 9:00am to 11:30am in conjunction with a monitoring inspection (see that inspection report for details). The two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Three staff records were reviewed for documentation of the mandatory VA Preservice Training, First Aid and CPR training. There are children currently enrolled with diagnosed food allergies and the staff were aware of their allergies and they were posted in the classrooms. Their records were also reviewed for allergy care plans and were in compliance. The lockdown drill log was reviewed.
