Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on January 22, 2020 from approximately 3:30 pm to 5:20 pm. Two staff were present with twenty children at the onset of inspection. Additional staff arrived during inspection. Four children and two staff records were reviewed.
Based on observation, facility did not ensure the first aid kit is inaccessible to children in care.
Evidence: The first aid kit was stored in an unlocked cabinet behind the check in table in the cafeteria which is accessible to children.
Plan of Correction:
A lock will be purchased and kept on the first aid kit.

Description:
Based on observation, facility did not ensure tables are sanitized before and after use for feeding.
Evidence: Staff was observed spraying the table with a soap/water solution and wiping it with a paper towel before the children sat down to eat. The tables were not sanitized before and after the afternoon snack.
Plan of Correction:
Staff will spray the table with a disinfectant solution and allow it to air dry.
