Technical Assistance:
Discussed doing a periodic review of First Aid kits in classrooms for supplies.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 12:45pm-2:45pm. There were 96 children directly supervised by 16 staff in nine classrooms. All ratios were in compliance. The physical plant, 6 staff records, 8 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed napping, diaper change, floor play, toileting and handwashing. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for the children in care. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Based on record review, the center did not have a written care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy. Evidence: Child #6 has a food allergy and medication onsite, however, no written care plan was in the file.
