Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 8/18/2022 from 10:30am-11:30am. There were 5 children (13 points) supervised by 2 direct caregivers. The home, 2 staff records, 3 children?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed engaging freely and singing. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation during this inspection. Based on observation and staff interview, soiled disposable diapers and wipes were not disposed of in a leak-proof or plastic-lined storage system that is either foot operated or used in such a way that neither the caregiver's hand nor the soiled diaper or wipe touches the exterior surface of the storage system during disposal.
Evidence:
1. Disposable diapers were not disposed in a trash can that is foot-operated. 2. The Provider stated that the foot operated trash can was in storage.
Plan of Correction:
I will bring out the diaper trash can today.
