Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes
Technical Assistance:
Discussed new provider portal that will be implemented in the next six months. Discussed new Norfolk ordinance regarding licensure of family day homes.
Comments:
Subsidy inspection was conducted on 3/10/2022. Present with the vendor were four children that were playing. Two children's records were reviewed. Vendor provided all household information with application.
Information gathered during the inspections determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issues to the program.
Based on review of emergency procedures and interview with vendor, the home failed to maintain a record of the dates of the emergency response practice drills for one year.
Evidence: 1. No written log was observed in the home listing dates of emergency response drills being conducted on a monthly basis. 2. Vendor confirmed during the interview that emergency drills were not practiced on a monthly basis.
Plan of Correction:
Vendor will practice and document emergency response drills in the home and keep a yearly log.
