A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted on Thursday, October 17, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspector arrived at 10:00 AM and concluded the inspection at 1:50 PM. Today, there were eleven children, totaling 31 points, present with two caregivers. During the inspection, children were playing with playdough, reading books, singings, washing hands, eating lunch, and napping. Lunch consisted of: turkey meatballs, peas, peaches, wheat bread, and milk. The provider stated that medication is not administered at this time. Children?s equipment, learning materials, indoor space, and the restroom, first aid kit and the nonmedical emergency supplies were inspected. The provider stated transportation is not provided at this time. Five children's records, two caregiver records, one household record, daily attendance records, fire drill, lockdown and shelter in place drill logs and all required postings were reviewed.
The provider was available for the inspection and was present at the exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed and an Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left with the licensee.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
