Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance was offered related to the emergency preparedness plan and drills; background checks. The center's staffing was also discussed when the center director is not present on site.
Comments:
A renewal inspection was conducted on 2/15/23 from 10:35 am to 11:40 am. There were 9 children present in the direct care and supervision of 4 staff members. The children were engaged in learning and art activities. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. Medications, first aid supplies, and the outdoor playground was inspected. A total of 5 staff records, 2 children's records and emergency drill logs were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on records review, the center did not maintain written daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure if each child as it occurs. Evidence: Written attendance was not recorded for the Pre-K classroom for 2/14/23 and 2/15/23.
