An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:30am to 11:45am with the Director. There were 78 children in care, ranging from six months to five years of age, supervised by 16 staff. The children were observed finishing breakfast, playing with bubbles, having diapers changed, washing hands, doing flash cards and sign language in circle time, reading books, singing songs, transitioning to outside, and playing on the playground. Five children?s records and five staff records were reviewed and were in compliance. The Center has 13 staff with current certification in CPR and First Aid, and 13 staff trained in Daily Health Observation Training. Three medications and authorization forms were reviewed and were in compliance and the center has seven staff current in Medication Administration Training (MAT). The attendance and emergency drill log were reviewed and were in compliance. The most recent evacuation drill was documented as 2/28/20 and the most recent shelter-in-place was documented as 9/5/19. The most recent Fire Inspection on file was dated 2/14/20 and the most recent Health Inspection on file was dated 3/3/20. Accident and incident reports and the injury prevention plan were reviewed and were in compliance. Lunch today is asian chicken nuggets, sweet potato fries, peaches, and milk.
