A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 9:30am-11:45am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 33 children in the direct care and supervision of 4 staff. The children were observed having breakfast (brought in from home) and having circle time (counting and singing songs). A sample size of 5 children?s records, 4 staff records, evacuation drills, emergency materials, the first aid kit, and the physical plant were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
