Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 09/06/2022 from 10:15 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. There were 4 children present, ranging in ages from 11 months to 4 years old with 1 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.
Based on observation, the provider failed to ensure that potentially poisonous substances were inaccessible to children. Evidence: 1. In the bathroom, there were 2 bottles of Clorox toilet bowl cleaner in the bottom cabinet and one bottle of Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaner sitting out that was accessible to children. 2. The provider confirmed that the toilet bowl cleaner and the bathroom cleaner were accessible to the children.
Plan of Correction:
Corrected while inspector was present. It was moved to a locked cabinet.
