Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 1/31/2020 to review supplemental health and safety requirements between the hours of 1:00 pm-5:00 pm. At the time of entrance, 47 children were in care with 10 staff members present. Children were observed during snack time, handwashing, story time with letter recognition, and playing with toys. A selection of staff and children records, the physical space, evacuation drills, attendance records, injury reports, medications and the Emergency Preparedness Plan were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and are identified on the violation notice. Based on record review, the allergy care plan for one child did not contain all required information.
Evidence: The allergy care plan for Child #1 did not contain a signature from the parent or guardian.
Plan of Correction:
I will ensure parents sign all allergy care plans.
