Discussed ensuring staff complete 2024 Virginia Annual Health and Safety training.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted 5/17/2024 from 1:35pm-3:15pm. There were 49 children directly supervised by 7 staff divided into 6 classrooms. Al ratios were in compliance. The physical plant, 4 staff records, 3 children?s records, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed napping, having snack and interacting with staff. A diaper change was also observed. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for the children in care. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Based on record review the center did not maintain a complete record for each child enrolled. Evidence: Child #2s record di not contain addresses for 2:2 designated people to call in an emergency if a parent cannot be reached.

Based on emergency drill record review and interview, the center did not practice lockdown drill annually. Evidence: 1. No lockdown drill record in the past 12 months. 2. Staff stated no lockdown drill has occurred in the past 12 months.

The center will ensure a lockdown drill is conducted within a year from previous lockdown drill.
