Technical Assistance:
Discussed the food allergy action plan requirement.
Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on August 30 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements.
The subsidy requirements were reviewed this date; allergy action plans, staff trainings, nutrition and food services, recordkeeping, hazardous substances, reporting injuries, emergency plans and transportation.
A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Based on record review, the center did not obtain a written allergy care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.
Evidence:
1. Child A was listed on the allergy list to have allergies and did not have a written allergy plan with instructions from a physician regarding the allergy.
Plan of Correction:
I will ask the parent to clarify if it is an actual medical condition to bring us a doctors note stating the process we would deal with the allergy or if it is a preference we will change it on the form and list.
