Technical Assistance:
Provided consultation on emergency response drills. Evacuation drills shall be practiced monthly, shelter-in-place procedures shall be practiced twice a year and lockdown procedures shall be practiced at least annually.
Comments:
An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted from 9:45 - 11:15 am in conjunction with a renewal inspection (see that report for details). SHSI requirements were reviewed. The emergency drill log was reviewed. There are no children with diagnosed food allergies or on medication. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, contact Donna Liberman at 540-359-5244 or email Donna.Liberman@dss.virginia.gov.
Based on review of documentation, and an interview with the provider, lockdown procedures were not practiced annually. Evidence: provider has not conducted a lockdown drill.
Plan of Correction:
Will conduct a lockdown drill today and document it on the drill log.
